Chris Adams competed in NASA racing from 2011 to 2017, accumulating 24 starts across seven seasons in Mazda Miata competition. He recorded 5 wins and 12 podiums, finishing at an average of seventh place. His career rating of 1,203 places him in the club racing category, representing competitive amateur-level performance in regional and club fields.[1]
Adams's record against his most frequent rivals shows a mixed head-to-head picture. He finished behind Justin Hille, the 2011 NASA Spec Miata champion, in seven of nine shared races but beat him twice. Against Jonathan Davis, the 2016 NASA Spec Miata champion, Adams won four of their nine meetings. He struggled more consistently against Christopher Williams, a three-time NASA Spec champion, finishing ahead of him only once in nine races. Adams also finished behind Chris Price and David Spencer in the majority of their shared outings, though he managed occasional victories over both. His most notable individual result came against Gar Robinson, an FIA Silver-graded driver and three-time IMSA LMP3 champion, whom he beat once in their single recorded meeting.
Adams's final season in 2017 saw him win twice and podium three times across six NASA rounds, finishing eighth overall. He has since retired from racing.
