Christian Knötschke is a competitive amateur racing in multiclass endurance championships at the Nürburgring, competing in near-standard production car classes across the national Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie and the Nürburgring 24 Hours. He has raced for SRS Team Sorg Rennsport in the Langstrecken-Serie and car 448 in the 24 Hours, sharing his machine with co-drivers as part of the endurance format.[1]
Over five seasons from 2021 to 2023 in the Langstrecken-Serie, Knötschke took one podium from seven starts across the VT2 and VT2 Hecka 4WD classes. His more significant record has come in the Nürburgring 24 Hours, where he has won once and taken two further podiums from four starts since 2022. That win came in 2024 or 2025; his most recent start, in the 2026 running, has so far yielded a podium.[2]
The Langstrecken-Serie fields entry-level professionals alongside amateurs and semi-professionals, and Knötschke regularly encounters Daniel Zils and Oskar Sandberg, both FIA-graded champions of the series who have typically finished ahead of him. He has beaten established professionals; he finished ahead of Frederik Schandorff, a Gold-graded driver with extensive GT and Le Mans experience, and Casper Stevenson, a Silver-graded professional from British and European single-seater racing.
