Christian Zugel is a club-level driver who raced in national and international multiclass endurance championships. He drove Porsches in PCA Club Racing, a national amateur and professional series run entirely in the United States, and LMP2 prototypes for Greaves Motorsport in the World Endurance Championship. His career spanned seven years from 2006 to 2013, with 17 starts across both series.[1]

Zugel raced in PCA Club Racing from 2006 to 2007, competing in its GTC3 and GTC4 classes. He then moved to the WEC, where he made ten starts for Greaves Motorsport between 2012 and 2013, finishing 14th in the championship standings in his final season. Endurance racing meant sharing the car with co-drivers on each entry, so results reflected team performance across the field rather than individual pace.[2]

In the WEC, Zugel regularly faced established professionals. He was closely matched with Olivier Pla, a Platinum-graded driver with extensive experience in the World Endurance Championship, IMSA WeatherTech and GP2 Series, and with Jacques Nicolet, a Bronze-graded professional. Zugel finished ahead of Martin Brundle, an established professional with 158 Formula 1 starts, and Bertrand Baguette, a Platinum-graded driver and two-time champion including the 2009 Formula V8 3.5 title and 2022 Super GT GT500. Greaves Motorsport, the team Zugel drove for, has taken two race wins across the index with a field of 31 drivers, Brundle among its strongest.
