Dale Peterman is a developing amateur racing in the SCCA Regionals, a national multiclass championship where up to 25 classes share the track in a single race. He drives the SM class, which runs spec 1990–2005 Mazda MX-5 Miatas, and is currently in his second season of indexed racing.[1]
Peterman has seven starts across 2025 and 2026. In the 2026 season, which is still in progress, he sits 70th in the championship standings with three rounds raced to date.[2]
His regular opponents in the SM class are Brad Kitchen and Keye Daus, both developing drivers with considerably more SCCA racing behind them; Peterman typically finishes behind both. He has beaten Jarrett Jones, an entry-level professional with 26 SCCA Majors starts and 25 SCCA Regionals starts, once, and finished ahead of Ellie Gossett, a competitive amateur with extensive SCCA Majors and Regionals experience, twice.
