Daniel Dupont was a club-level driver racing in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, a multiclass endurance championship run at a single circuit. His career on record spans five seasons from 2010 to 2014, across which he made ten starts in shared-driver machinery, racing primarily in the SP 3T, SP 5 and SP 6 classes of turbocharged and modified production-based cars. He retired after the 2014 season, finishing 18th in the championship standings that year.[1]
Dupont typically finished behind his most regular opponents; he raced Matthias Wasel, a competitive amateur with sixty-six Nürburgring starts and five at the 24 Hours, and Thomas Wasel, a club-level driver with forty-four starts in the series, more often than not trailing them both. He took a pair of drives for car number 323, which won three races across the database index and was driven by entry-level professionals among its eleven drivers. His one result of note came when he finished ahead of Christian Krognes, the 2012 Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie SP 3T champion, and once finished ahead of Renger van der Zande, an established professional and IMSA WeatherTech prototype champion with extensive Formula 3 and WEC experience.[2]
