Daniel Weckop was a club-level driver racing in shared-car endurance competition at the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, a multiclass championship run in Germany where amateurs and professionals compete on the same track. He raced for Car #537 and others across five starts between 2010 and 2015, piloting Toyota GT86 cup cars and modified production-based machinery in the Cup 4, SP 3 and SP 3T classes.[1]
His record was sparse and concentrated in a single series. Across three seasons of indexed racing, Weckop completed five starts without recording a podium finish. His most recent appearance came in 2015.[2]
The field he raced in included established professionals and entry-level professionals with serious racing credentials. Arne Hoffmeister, who would go on to win the Cup 4 championship twice in the series, was a regular competitor and typically finished ahead of Weckop. Against the professional driver Nigel Moore, whose career spans the Nürburgring series, Prototype Cup Germany and the World Endurance Championship, Weckop managed one finish ahead of him; he also beat entry-level professional Sarah Moore, who competed in W Series, once across their meetings.
