Dave Balingit was a developing-level driver who raced in NASA, a multiclass endurance series mixing amateur and professional entrants across fifteen classes in the same race. He drove V8 pony cars in the American Iron class, limited-modification pony cars in the CMC class, and the NP01 prototype class, primarily for a Ford Mustang team.[1]

Across seven indexed seasons from 2003 to 2017, Balingit made 31 starts and took one win and six podiums. His most active season came in 2017, when he raced six rounds, won once, and finished 91st in the championship standings.[2]

Balingit typically finished behind Bryan Curtis, a club-level regular on the NASA grid with nearly 90 starts across NASA and SCCA Regionals. He was closely matched with Joe Bogetich, a semi-professional with 69 NASA starts, splitting results with him across multiple meetings. He beat Bogetich three times and once finished ahead of Harry Voigt, another semi-professional who had raced Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup. The Ford Mustang team he drove for has fielded over 230 drivers and won 249 races across the index, with its strongest driver a professional-level competitor.
