Alex Wright is a competitive amateur racing in multiclass endurance and sprint championships across North America and Europe. His career spans 41 starts from 2015 to 2026, primarily in American Endurance Racing, where he has raced production-based cars in Classes 3, 4 and 5, and in Trans-Am TA2 between 2019 and 2021. He has also contested the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie and Nürburgring 24 Hours in front-wheel-drive turbocharged production cars, a NASA multiclass event, and most recently World Racing League for Stoic Racing.[1]
Wright has taken two wins and four podiums across his career. His primary success came in American Endurance Racing, where he scored one win and two podiums in 14 starts in a multiclass field mixing amateurs with graded professionals. In Trans-Am TA2, a national single-seater sprint series, he made 15 starts without a podium finish. His most recent activity is the 2026 World Racing League season, where he has won one of his two starts so far and currently sits 28th in the championship standings as further rounds are scheduled.[2]
In the regular company he keeps, Wright usually finishes behind semi-professional and entry-level professional opposition such as Trans-Am TA2 regulars Tom Sheehan and Rafa Matos, a multi-time TA2 champion and former IndyCar driver. His most notable finishes have come against stronger drivers; he has beaten both Ty Gibbs, an elite professional with back-to-back NASCAR Xfinity and ARCA titles, and Riley Herbst, an established professional with extensive NASCAR experience across its three national series.
