Richard Bowman is a retired developing amateur competitor who raced in PCA Club Racing, a national multiclass endurance championship that fields amateurs and professionals together. Between 2006 and 2009 he competed in the Porsche GTC3 and GTC4 classes, piloting Porsches across four seasons and 27 starts with a single podium finish.[1]
His record in the series placed him 34th in the final championship standings, running consistently against established regulars. He usually finished behind Jay E Walker II and Josemanuel Gutierrez, both club-level competitors with far more extensive records in the series; Walker had 34 starts and Gutierrez 30. He took his only podium against competitors of varying experience levels, including one finish ahead of Andrew Thompson, an entry-level professional driver with limited PCA starts, and one ahead of David Baker, a semi-professional with a deeper endurance racing background that extended into Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge.[2]
