Dave Cox was an entry-level professional racing in multiclass endurance championships. His career spanned seven starts across five series from 2007 to 2024, primarily with WEC Motorsport. He raced production-based and modified touring cars in the 24H Series, competing in its A3 and SP3 classes across an international field that mixed amateur and professional drivers.[1]
Cox took two podiums from his seven starts, both in the 24H Series with WEC Motorsport between 2018 and 2019. His other appearances came in the FIA GT Championship in 2007, the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie in 2014, and American Endurance Racing in 2024. He finished 18th in the championship standings in his sole Nürburgring round. His record includes finishes ahead of Paul Belmondo, an established professional with Formula 1 and International Formula 3000 experience, and Stéphane Ortelli, a FIA Gold-graded professional who raced in the FIA GT Championship and World Touring Car Championship.[2]
