David Rhodes raced in NASA, a national multiclass championship mixing amateur and semi-professional entrants with graded professionals on the same grid. He competed in the PTE class, driving production-based street cars, across four seasons from 2010 to 2014 for a total of 26 starts.[1]
Rhodes finished sixth in the final NASA championship standings in 2014, his most active season, taking two podiums from two rounds. Across his four seasons he took six wins and 15 podiums. His record was closely matched against club-level regular Stephen Harper; he typically finished ahead of entry-level professional Cale Phillips, who had raced 102 NASA events and later competed in Trans-Am TA2.[2]
Rhodes occasionally beat stronger drivers who passed through the grid. He finished ahead of Samantha Tan, an FIA Bronze-graded entry-level professional and 2024 GT World Challenge America Pro-Am champion, on two occasions across their meetings in NASA.
