Erik Roper raced in NASA, a national multiclass sprint championship run in the United States, competing in the PTE class with production-based street cars. His racing spanned seven seasons from 2009 to 2015 across 36 starts in the series.[1]
Roper took nine podiums across his NASA career. In his final season, 2015, he recorded four podiums from six rounds and finished tenth in the championship standings.[2]
His results placed him in a field mixing amateurs, semi-professionals and graded professionals. Among regular NASA opponents, Roper usually finished ahead of Cale Phillips, an entry-level professional who went on to race in Trans-Am, though he typically trailed Xavier Calderon. He beat Phillips 18 times across their meetings and once finished ahead of Samantha Tan, who later became a 2024 GT World Challenge America Pro-Am champion.
