Derek Napiantek is a club-level driver racing in national amateur and semi-professional single-seater championships in the United States. He competes in SCCA Regionals and SCCA Majors, both multiclass sprint series that mix amateur, semi-professional and professional drivers on the same grid. He drives one-design Spec Racer Fords in the SRF and SRF3 classes.[1]

He has taken one win and 21 podiums, the majority of them coming in SCCA Regionals, where he has raced consistently. His record reflects mid-field standing among the drivers he faces regularly; he typically finishes behind Larry Winkelman, a fellow club driver and frequent competitor, but ahead of Scott Mackela, a developing-level rival. He has beaten Jason Pintar, a competitive amateur with 60 SCCA Regionals starts to his name, and taken a single podium finish ahead of Gian Buffomante, an entry-level professional and FIA Silver graded driver with experience in Trans-Am TA2 and SCCA competition.[2]
