Mike Usher is a club-level driver who raced in American Endurance Racing, a multiclass endurance championship where production-based cars and open-wheel machinery compete across multiple classes. He drove in the series across 2015 and 2016, sharing his car with teammates in the traditional endurance format.[1]
Usher took one win and seven podiums across 16 starts over two seasons. His most recent campaign, in 2016, saw him finish sixth in the championship standings with three podium finishes from eight rounds. He beat Mark Smith, an entry-level professional with 65 PCA Club Racing starts and British GT Championship experience, twice; he also finished ahead of Alex Vogel, a semi-professional competitor across American Endurance Racing, GT America and GT4 America, once.[2]
His peers in the series were drivers of similar standing; he ran closely matched against Vincent Mignogna and Tim Potter, both club-level regulars in American Endurance Racing, across multiple meetings.
