James Libecco races at entry-level professional level in national single-class and multiclass championships in the United States. He competes primarily in SCCA Majors and Regionals, where he drives Mazda-powered Formula Enterprise and tube-frame silhouette GT and Spec Racer Ford cars across multiple classes. His most recent activity is in Trans-Am TA2, where he drives a tube-frame V8 silhouette car.[1]
Over six seasons from 2021 to 2026, Libecco has accumulated 65 starts across the SCCA and Trans-Am series. His record divides sharply between regional and national competition: in SCCA Regionals he has won 18 times from 23 starts with 22 podiums, while in SCCA Majors he has won once from 39 starts with seven podiums. He took one podium finish from a single Trans-Am TA Sprint start in 2026, and has begun racing Trans-Am TA2 this season, currently standing 25th in the championship standings after two rounds.[2]
Libecco typically finishes behind his most regular opponents, including Brian Schofield, the 2025 SCCA Majors SRF3 champion, and competitive amateur James Goughary. He has beaten entry-level professionals Noah Harmon and Helio Meza on single occasions in SCCA competition.
