Ed Wheatley raced one season in International GT during 2022, competing in a moderately skilled grid of largely ungraded amateur and gentleman drivers. Across twelve starts he finished on average eleventh, with no wins or podiums. His most consistent rivals were James Hamman, whom he never beat across twelve shared races, and Lukas Pank, a former champion against whom Wheatley finished ahead once.
