Friedrich Obermeier is a club-level racer with a rating of 1,019, placing him in the developing to club racing band where competition is typically regional and does not meet professional standards. His career consisted of ten seasons in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie from 2010 to 2019, during which he accumulated 35 starts, one win, and ten podium finishes. His average finishing position of P5.3 across classified starts was respectable for the fields he inhabited, but this conceals a record shaped by racing against much stronger drivers.[1]

Obermeier's most frequent rivals were drivers rated considerably higher. He faced Michael Flehmer and Rolf Derscheid, both FIA Bronze graded and multiple series champions, in 13 shared races each but finished ahead of them in only two races apiece against eleven defeats. He ran against Christopher Rink, Oskar Sandberg, and Danny Brink, all FIA Silver graded professionals rated between 2,558 and 3,239, across a combined 34 races and never finished ahead of Rink or Brink. Against Sandberg he did better, finishing ahead in three of ten meetings. His record against Oliver Frisse was evenly balanced at five wins and five losses from ten races. Obermeier's career was entirely amateur, contested within a single regional series where he competed for Dr.Dr. Stein Tveten motorsport GmbH. His retirement came after the 2019 season, having scored his last podium in the final two rounds of that year.
