Bernd Küpper is a competitive amateur racing in multiclass endurance championships on modified production-based race cars and touring cars. He races primarily in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, a national German series where he has competed for GITI TIRE MOTORSPORT BY WS RACING since 2010, and competes in shared-car racing at the Nürburgring 24 Hours and the international 24H Series.[1]
Across 63 starts from 2010 to the present, Küpper has taken five wins and 21 podiums. His record centres on the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, where he has made 53 starts across 15 seasons, scoring two wins and 15 podiums in the H3, SP 5 and SP 6 classes. In the 24H Series he won three of four starts between 2017 and 2018, racing in the A3 touring car class and CUP1 BMW M235i cup cars for Hofor Racing powered by Bonk Motorsport. He has made six starts at the Nürburgring 24 Hours since 2019, earning three podiums in the BMW 325i, BMW M240i and SP 3 classes; he is currently competing in the 2026 edition.[2]
Küpper races against a field that ranges from amateurs to graded professionals in the same multiclass grid. His regular opponents at the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie include Christopher Rink, an entry-level professional and four-time V4 class champion, and Marcel Manheller, a semi-professional and 2017 V4 champion; he typically finishes behind both. He has beaten Edoardo Mortara, an elite professional who won the 2010 Formula 3 Euro Series and has raced Formula E, and Robin Frijns, an established professional and Formula E competitor who took the 2021 WEC LMP2 title.
