🏳️ Hugh Stewart

Hugh Stewart is a competitive amateur racing in multiple national multiclass championships in the United States. He campaigns German cars in NASA's GTS3 and GTSU classes, which run BMWs and Porsches; production-based performance cars in SCCA Majors' STU class and high-performance machinery including GT4 cars in its T1 class; and production-based cars in American Endurance Racing's Class 3 and Class 4 endurance series, where he shares the car with co-drivers. His primary focus has been NASA, where he has raced since 2008.[1]

Stewart has won 34 races across 96 starts since 2008. His strongest record is in NASA, where 27 wins and 43 podiums from 67 starts across his nine seasons there yielded the 2014 NASA championship. He has also won the 2021 SCCA Majors championship, taking 5 wins and 14 podiums from 20 starts in that series since 2021. His American Endurance Racing campaign was brief, two seasons from 2017 to 2018, but productive: he took two wins from four starts in shared-car racing. He returned to SCCA competition in 2020, racing the Runoffs series in parallel with his Majors schedule; he has one podium from five Runoffs starts to date. His most recent start came in the 2025 SCCA Runoffs, where he podiumed.[2]

In the fields he races, Stewart regularly finishes ahead of semi-professional NASA regulars such as Luiz Serva and developing drivers such as Ariel Jurmann. He has beaten established and professional drivers of greater experience; he finished ahead of Eric Curran, an established professional and FIA Gold-graded driver with 48 IMSA WeatherTech starts, and Misha Goikhberg, a professional with 91 IMSA starts and 37 Trans-Am TA2 starts.
