🇨🇭 Jacques Castelein

Jacques Castelein is a competitive amateur racing in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, a national multiclass endurance championship in which amateurs and professionals share the track across fifteen classes. He races for Pit Lane - AMC Sankt Vith in Cup 4 Toyota GT86 cup cars, SP 10 GT4 machinery and SP 3 modified production-based cars, taking turns with co-drivers across his appearances between 2017 and 2024.[1]

Castelein recorded one podium finish across thirteen starts spread over six seasons. His most recent activity came in 2024, when he competed in two rounds and finished 30th in the championship standings. The bulk of his racing for Pit Lane - AMC Sankt Vith came in the middle years of this period; the team itself has two race wins on record and has fielded professional-level drivers alongside its amateur roster.[2]

In the regular field at Nürburgring, Castelein races among club and semi-professional drivers. He typically finished behind Jacques Derenne, a club-level regular with extensive experience at the circuit and in international endurance racing. Against Milan Kodídek, another semi-professional Bronze-graded driver on the same domestic circuit, he proved closely matched. His single podium placed him ahead of Charles Putman, a professional who won the 2018 24H Series A6-AM title across 43 starts in the 24H Series, and ahead of Niels Langeveld, a professional FIA Silver driver who competed in the FIA World Touring Car Cup.
