Jay A Nizborski raced in PCA Club Racing, a multiclass national championship mixing amateur and professional drivers on the same grid. Based in the United States, he competed in the C and I classes, both fielding Porsches, from 2004 to 2009.[1]
Over six seasons Nizborski made 30 starts and took 11 podiums, including two wins. His record improved markedly in his final season; 2009 saw him on the podium in all four rounds he contested. He finished his career without claiming a championship.[2]
Nizborski raced regularly against Carl Tallardy, a developing driver, and Rod F Johnson, a club-level competitor, and was competitive against both; he also finished ahead of Jade Buford, an entry-level professional with significant single-seater and sports car racing behind her, and the semi-professional Tim Sanderson. His podium finishes came in a field spanning from amateurs to graded professionals, and he typically ran mid-pack among regulars.
