Jim Tramontano is a competitive amateur racing in a national multiclass championship. He competes in NASA's Spec Miata class, which runs Mazda MX-5 Miatas in spec trim, fielding both amateurs and graded professionals in the same multiclass grid. He has raced there since 2017.[1]
Across ten seasons, Tramontano has taken six wins and 34 podiums from 110 starts. His record is consistent; he has finished on the podium in roughly one-third of his races across the full span of his indexed career. In the 2026 season still in progress, he holds 19th in the championship standings with seven podiums from 14 rounds raced so far.[2]
Tramontano runs closely with the regular Spec Miata field. He is closely matched against Chris Graham, a fellow competitive amateur and regular opponent across NASA, and trades results evenly with Paul Redante, a club-level driver who shares the class. He has beaten Robert Noaker, a professional and two-time Mustang Challenge champion, twice across their meetings in NASA, and has a win against Ben Maier, an entry-level professional with Trans-Am TA2 experience.
