Derek Levine is a developing amateur racer competing in NASA's national Spec Miata series and American Endurance Racing's multiclass championship. He races a Mazda MX-5 Miata in spec trim for NASA and a production-based car in Class 1 for AER. His first indexed season was 2024; he has since completed two full campaigns and is currently mid-season in 2026.[1]
Across three seasons Levine has started 50 times and taken three podiums, all in NASA. In 2024 he made two starts in American Endurance Racing's multiclass format alongside a 16-race NASA campaign that produced one podium. The following year he raced a full NASA season, 19 starts yielding two podiums from a field mixing amateurs with graded professionals. His 2026 season is still in progress; he sits 48th in the championship standings with one podium from eleven rounds run so far.[2]
In NASA's Spec Miata field he typically finishes behind regular competitors Daniel Reinhart and Eric Antich, both developing or competitive amateur drivers with dozens of starts in the series. He has twice beaten Christian Sarnecki, a semi-professional who has won SCCA Regionals championships in SM2 and SM classes and raced across SCCA and NASA at both regional and national level, and once finished ahead of entry-level professional Pete McIntosh.
