Zach Dayton is a developing amateur racing in a national multiclass sprint series. He competes in NASA's Spec E30 class, which runs spec BMW E30 3-series, and has also made two appearances in the ChampCar Endurance Series driving a shared-car entry in the EC class. His first indexed season began in 2026.[1]
Across 12 NASA rounds to date this season, Dayton has taken one podium and currently sits 16th in the championship standings. He has also started twice in endurance competition, driving a 2001 BMW 330i for Warriors in Motion in the ChampCar Endurance Series.[2]
Dayton races regularly against entry-level professionals and established amateurs in a field that spans from club to graded drivers. He has finished ahead of Garrett Manes, an entry-level professional with 33 NASA starts, and Amilio DiLauro, a semi-professional. He typically finishes behind Jason Griscavage, the 2025 NASA Spec E30 champion and a competitive amateur with 142 starts in the series, and behind Manes in most meetings.
