Raphael Hundeborn was a club-level endurance driver who raced in multiclass championships at the Nürburgring across two decades. He competed in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie from 2010 to 2017 and the Nürburgring 24 Hours from 2019 to 2024, driving turbocharged production-based cars in the SP 3T class and TCR touring cars as part of shared-driver teams.[1]
Over 50 starts across both series, Hundeborn took five podium finishes. His most notable results came against established opposition; he finished ahead of Christian Krognes, an FIA Gold-graded professional and 2012 Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie SP 3T champion, once during their meetings, and beat Artur Goroyan, a professional-level driver with experience in the 24H Series, once as well. Hundeborn was a regular entry for Team Mathol Racing, which fielded 162 drivers across the index and counted established professional Felix Rosenqvist among its roster.[2]
Hundeborn typically finished behind his most frequent rivals, the Fritzsche brothers Heinz-Otto and Jürgen, both competitive amateurs and 2015 Cup 1 champions in the Langstrecken-Serie. He raced across the series' multiclass fields that mixed amateur and semi-professional entrants with graded professionals in the same race.
