🇫🇮 Juha Hannonen

Hannonen is a semi-professional endurance racing driver. He spent eight seasons in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie between 2012 and 2019, driving BMW one-make and production-based turbocharged cars for FK Performance Motorsport in a national multiclass series that fields amateurs alongside graded professionals. He scored two wins and twenty podiums across fifty-six starts in that championship, then closed his career with a podium finish at the 2019 Nürburgring 24 Hours in the same BMW Cup class.[1]

Hannonen's record in the Langstrecken-Serie placed him as a regular midfield contender. His two wins came within a field that mixed competitive amateurs with established professionals, and he finished ahead of Dries Vanthoor, an FIA Platinum-graded established professional and 2021 GT World Challenge Europe champion, and Joel Eriksson, an FIA Platinum-graded driver with fifty-six Formula 3 European starts and experience in DTM. His most frequent rivals were the competitive amateurs Willy Hüppi and Marcel Hartl, both long-term regulars in the series, and the head-to-head records against them were closely matched.[2]
