🏳️ Joe Viola

Joe Viola is a semi-professional racer competing in multiclass national motorsport championships across the United States. His racing career spans 2020 to 2024 and centres on International GT, where he races Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars in the GT3.8 and GT4.0 classes for a field mixing amateurs, semi-professionals and graded professionals. He has also raced in NASA's Spec Miata class and in American Endurance Racing's shared-car Class 3 category.[1]

Viola took three wins and seven podiums from twelve starts across his indexed seasons. His strongest performances came in International GT, where he recorded all three of his wins and five podiums from six starts in 2023 and 2024. In NASA's Spec Miata racing, he finished in the points in both seasons he competed there, taking two podiums from four starts in 2021 and 2022 before stepping away. His American Endurance Racing campaign consisted of two starts in 2020.[2]

In International GT, Viola's regular competition included Zach Ehrlich, a competitive amateur who has also raced SCCA events and brings twenty national-level club starts to that series, and Baron Jacobs, a club-level driver. Against stronger opposition, Viola finished ahead of Darius Trinka, a professional with FIA Bronze grading and twenty Lamborghini Super Trofeo starts, and Peter Portante, a semi-professional driver.
