Joel Jens is a competitive amateur rated 2,564; this level encompasses the front of club racing and regional competition, drivers who are quick and racing seriously but typically against amateurs rather than professionals. His record consists of two starts in the SKUSA SuperNationals across 2011 and 2012, yielding no wins or podium finishes and an average finish of sixth place.[1]

The notable aspect of Jens's brief record is the calibre of drivers he occasionally outran in individual races. He finished ahead of Lance Stroll, who would go on to become a Formula 1 driver and FIA Platinum-graded professional; Santino Ferrucci, an established FIA Gold professional; David Beckmann, another FIA Gold-graded driver; and Danny Formal, a multiple Lamborghini Super Trofeo champion.
