Joni Wiman is an entry-level professional who raced in single-seater competition. His career on record consists of two starts in the 2011 Formula Renault Eurocup, driving for Koiranen Motorsport.[1]
Wiman finished 21st in the championship standings across those two rounds. The Eurocup field that season included both amateur and semi-professional entrants alongside graded professionals. In his limited racing, Wiman finished ahead of Stoffel Vandoorne twice; Vandoorne would go on to become an established professional, winning the 2012 Eurocup title before progressing through GP2 and Formula 1 to Formula E. Wiman also beaten Gustavo Menezes once, who became an established professional and LMP2 champion in the World Endurance Championship.[2]
