🇻🇪 Zdenek Chovanec

Zdenek Chovanec was an entry-level professional racing driver, FIA Silver graded, who competed in single-seater formula racing across three seasons from 2020 to 2022. He raced in Italian F4, Euroformula Open for Double R Racing, and the FIA Formula 3 Championship across multiple classes for Charousz Racing System. His rating of 3,079 places him at the lower end of professional competition, measured against drivers who reached established or elite professional level.[1]

Chovanec's indexed record spans 36 starts across Italian F4, Euroformula Open and Formula 3. He contested Italian F4 in 2020, finishing 17th in the championship standings; Euroformula Open in 2021 with 13 starts; and Formula 3 in 2021 and 2022 with 12 starts across its three classes. His most notable results came against drivers who went on to stronger careers: he finished ahead of Gabriel Bortoleto, later the 2023 Formula 3 champion and 2024 Formula 2 champion with 40 Formula 1 starts, on two occasions; and ahead of Leonardo Fornaroli, the 2024 Formula 3 champion and 2025 Formula 2 champion, three times.[2]

He raced regularly against established professionals including Jak Crawford and Rafael Villagomez, both Formula 2 graduates with over 30 Formula 3 starts each, and typically finished behind them.
