🇬🇧 Jonny Edgar

Jonny Edgar is an established professional racing driver, FIA Silver-graded, competing in international prototype and sportscar endurance racing. He drives LMP2 prototypes for AO by TF in the European Le Mans Series and for AO Racing in IMSA, and campaigns a GT3 car for TF Sport in the FIA World Endurance Championship. His career spans nine seasons from single-seater racing through to his current focus on crewed endurance competition.[1]

Edgar won the 2020 ADAC Formula 4 championship with Van Amersfoort Racing as a teenage driver, taking six wins from 25 starts in that single-seater series. He raced Formula 3 across 2021 and 2023, taking a single win from 52 starts in a field mixing amateurs with graded professionals, where he was closely matched with established professional Jak Crawford and consistently finished ahead of entry-level professional Ido Cohen. His transition to endurance racing began in 2023 and has since produced two championships: the 2024 European Le Mans Series title, won alongside Louis Delétraz and Robert Kubica, and the 2026 WEC title, which he leads after five rounds. Across IMSA and WEC combined he has taken four wins from 26 starts; across European Le Mans Series he has one win from seven starts, all but one of which have yielded podium finishes.[2]

In his endurance campaigns Edgar has shared cars with multiple elite professionals and champions, including Kubica, a former Formula 1 driver. His record against stronger single-seater competition includes eleven podium finishes against Gabriel Bortoleto, the 2023 Formula 3 and 2024 Formula 2 champion and current Formula 1 driver, and seven against Isack Hadjar, an FIA Platinum-graded professional with Formula 2 and Formula 1 experience. His current WEC championship lead comes after a winning drive at the 2026 24 Hours of Le Mans.
