Joshua Dürksen is an established professional competing in Formula 2 for Invicta Racing, where he races both the FR1 and FR2 classes. The Paraguayan holds an FIA Silver grading, the professional development grade in sportscar and endurance racing; he is also a development driver for Mercedes in Formula One. Dürksen has raced single-seaters continuously since 2019, progressing through Italian F4 and ADAC Formula 4 before moving to the junior categories.[1]

His record spans eight seasons and 198 starts across five championships. In Italian F4, he took 4 wins and 9 podiums across three seasons, finishing 6th in the championship standings in 2021 with 2 wins and 3 podiums. He raced ADAC Formula 4 alongside Italian F4, taking 2 wins and 8 podiums in 35 starts. Formula Regional European saw him take a single podium in 35 starts for Arden Motorsport across 2022 and 2023. A brief Euroformula Open campaign in 2021 yielded one podium from three starts. Since 2024 he has competed in Formula 2, where he has taken 8 wins and 16 podiums across 80 starts.[2]

He is closely matched against Sebastian Montoya, an FIA Silver graded driver with 51 Formula 2 starts and experience in Formula 3, and against Dino Beganovic, the 2022 Formula Regional European champion who has raced 56 Formula 2 rounds. He has finished ahead of Andrea Kimi Antonelli, a generational-level Platinum graded driver and three-time junior champion including the 2023 Formula Regional European title, on 11 occasions, and has beaten Isack Hadjar, an elite professional Platinum graded driver with 37 Formula 1 starts, 7 times.
