🇮🇳 Kush Maini

Kush Maini is an established professional racing in the FIA Formula 2 Championship for ART Grand Prix, an operation fielding cars at the front of the grid. He holds an FIA Silver rating in endurance and sportscar racing. Over eleven seasons from 2016 onwards, Maini has raced single-seater championships from Italian Formula 4 through Formula 3 and the Formula Renault Eurocup, accumulating 221 starts across all categories.[1]

In Formula 2, his primary series since 2023, Maini has taken three wins and ten podiums from 99 starts across a multiclass field spanning amateur and professional entrants. His record in the junior categories shows greater success; he won four races in the BRDC British Formula 3 Championship across 2018 to 2020, finishing regularly on the podium in a 46-start campaign with Hitech Grand Prix. He took a podium in Formula 3 in 2022 and another in the Formula Renault Eurocup in 2019. His only World Endurance Championship appearance came in 2021, a single start that left him 25th in the season standings. Jenzer Motorsport, the team fielding him in Italian Formula 4 and ADAC Formula 4 in 2016 and 2017, won the Italian F4 title that year.[2]

Maini's Formula 2 field includes established professionals such as Victor Martins, a Gold-graded driver and two-time Formula Renault Eurocup champion, and Jak Crawford, both of whom typically finish ahead of him in races they share. He has beaten generational drivers including Oscar Piastri, the 2021 Formula 2 champion now in Formula 1, once in head-to-head competition, and finished ahead of Andrea Kimi Antonelli, who won the 2023 Formula Regional European Championship and now races in Formula 1, on nine occasions across their meetings. His standing as reserve driver for both Alpine in Formula 1 and Mahindra in Formula E reflects his place as a developing talent within those programmes.
