Ritomo Miyata is an established professional racing driver competing across multiple series for the TGR Driver Challenge Program. He holds an FIA Gold grading in endurance racing, the full-professional grade. His primary campaign is in Formula 2 with Hitech, where he races in the FR1 and FR2 classes; he also contests European Le Mans Series endurance rounds in LMP2 prototypes for COOL Racing and serves as a reserve driver in the FIA World Endurance Championship for Toyota.[1]

Miyata's record spans ten seasons from 2017 onwards and centres on his dual championship wins in 2023 with TOM'S, taking both the Super Formula title and the Super GT crown in Japan's premier categories. In Super GT he accumulated five wins across 48 starts; in Super Formula he took two wins from 28 entries. His Formula 2 campaign has run since 2024 with Hitech across 80 starts, yielding his maiden victory in the Madrid Sprint race in September 2026 after three seasons building towards a breakthrough. In endurance racing he has shown immediate pace, winning twice in his first five European Le Mans Series starts and recording a podium in limited World Endurance Championship appearances.[2]

In Formula 2, Miyata regularly faces established professionals including Joshua Dürksen and Kush Maini, both FIA Silver drivers with substantial single-seater racing behind them, and he has matched them closely across their shared races. His most notable achievements against stronger opposition came in his earlier career; he finished ahead of generational prospect Andrea Kimi Antonelli seven times and elite professional Isack Hadjar five times across their meetings in the junior formulae.
