🇬🇧 Sandy Mitchell

Sandy Mitchell is an established professional FIA Platinum-graded driver racing in crewed GT3 endurance racing. He competes primarily in the British GT Championship for Barwell Motorsport, where he has 47 starts across the GT3 and GT3 Pro-Am classes, and contests the GT World Challenge Europe and IMSA WeatherTech championships in similar machinery. His rating of 5,363 places him among the top 750 active drivers on the Elo scale.[1]

Mitchell won the 2020 British GT Championship and has taken the 2026 IMSA WeatherTech title with Pfaff Motorsports. Across nine seasons from 2015 to 2026, he has accumulated 13 wins and 32 podiums from 129 starts. His early career included British F4 in 2015, where he took two wins from 26 starts in a mixed field of amateurs and professionals; he has since established himself as a fixture in international GT racing. In British GT, his primary series, he has won nine times and finished on the podium 23 times, becoming Barwell Motorsport's strongest asset; the team's 36 wins across the index are led by Mitchell's own tally. His IMSA record spans multiple seasons and includes two wins; his 2026 campaign has put him in contention for the championship after victories at Virginia International Raceway.[2]

Mitchell races regularly against established GT professionals and former champions. Ian Loggie, the 2021 and 2022 British GT3 champion, is a consistent rival; the two are closely matched in their head-to-head record. Sven Müller, a Gold-graded professional with significant Formula 3 and ADAC GT Masters experience, is a frequent opponent in GT World Challenge Europe, where Mitchell typically finishes behind him. Early in his career, Mitchell raced British F4 alongside Lando Norris, the 2015 British F4 champion and 2025 Formula 1 champion; he finished ahead of Norris seven times across their meetings in that series.
