🇫🇷 Franck Lagorce

Franck Lagorce is an established professional who raced single-seaters across five seasons from 1991 to 1998. He competed in International Formula 3000 for Apomatox, Formula 1 for Ligier, and Formula 3 at Macau, then moved to endurance racing with DAMS in the FIA GT Championship. He scored four wins across 31 career starts.[1]

Lagorce's record centers on International Formula 3000, where he took four wins and six podiums across 16 starts between 1993 and 1994. He won the 1994 International Formula 3000 championship with Apomatox. His move to Formula 1 in 1994 yielded two starts for Ligier, finishing twentieth in the championship standings without scoring points. He later raced the FIA GT Championship across two seasons with DAMS, taking twelve starts in the shared-driver endurance format. A single Formula 3 start at Macau in 1991 rounds out his indexed record.[2]

Lagorce competed regularly against Olivier Beretta, a professional driver graded FIA Gold who would go on to win the 1999 FIA GT Championship and amass extensive experience across Formula 3000, FIA GT and the World Endurance Championship; the pair finished closely matched. He also raced frequently against Jérôme Policand, a Bronze-graded professional in International Formula 3000, and typically finished ahead of him. He beat Mika Häkkinen once; Häkkinen would become a two-time Formula 1 world champion. Gil de Ferran, an established professional who raced IndyCar and International Formula 3000, finished behind Lagorce on three occasions.
