Cole Custer is an established professional racing stock cars at the national level in the United States. He competes full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series for Haas Factory Team, driving the No. 41 Chevrolet, and part-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series for Stewart-Haas Racing. His primary career has been built in the Xfinity Series, where he won 15 races across a full-time presence from 2016 onwards and captured the 2023 championship.[1]

Custer has contested 193 starts in the Cup Series since 2018 with a single win and one podium, the majority on oval tracks. His Xfinity record spans 180 starts with 15 wins and 43 podiums, establishing him as a consistent front-runner in that series; he also ran 42 Truck Series races early in his career from 2014 to 2016, taking two wins and six podiums. He competed in three IMSA Pilot Challenge endurance events in the GS class in 2018 and 2019. The 2026 Cup season is still in progress; Custer currently sits 26th in the standings after five rounds.[2]

At the Cup level, Custer races in a field that includes elite professionals and multiple series champions. He has finished ahead of Denny Hamlin, an elite professional with over 340 Cup starts, and Christopher Bell, the 2017 Truck Series champion and an elite-level driver who competes regularly in both Cup and Xfinity. Against Bell and fellow established professional Tyler Reddick, who won the Xfinity championship in consecutive years, Custer has been closely matched across their shared series appearances, suggesting competitive standing among peers at his level rather than clear separation in either direction.
