🏳️ Sam Neary

Sam Neary is an entry-level professional racing driver competing in British GT Championship for Team Abba Racing. He races GT3 cars across the series' GT3 and GT3SA classes. His FIA grading is Gold, placing him among the full professional grades in endurance and sportscar racing. His career spans seven seasons from 2018 onwards, during which he has also raced in multiclass endurance championships in Europe, including the 24H Series, GT World Challenge Europe, and the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie.[1]

Across 51 starts, Neary has taken one win and six podiums. His sole victory came in the British GT Championship, which has been his primary focus since 2020 with 41 starts for Team Abba Racing. The 24H Series provided a podium finish across two starts between 2018 and 2022, and a brief four-round campaign in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie in 2022 yielded a 28th-place championship finish. Four outings in GT World Challenge Europe in 2023 and 2024 produced no podiums.[2]

Neary races regularly against established professionals on the British GT grid. He is closely matched with fellow Gold-graded driver Marcus Clutton, a regular opponent across their shared campaigns. Against Sandy Mitchell, the 2020 British GT Championship GT3 champion and a Platinum-graded professional, Neary typically finishes behind him, though he has beaten stronger drivers once each, including established professionals Jordan Pepper and Frédéric Makowiecki, the latter a multiple international series contender with 69 WEC starts to his name.
