Johannes Van Overbeek is an entry-level professional racing in multiclass endurance championships at FIA Platinum grade. He races prototypes in IMSA WeatherTech's P class and has recently campaigned Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo cars in Lamborghini Super Trofeo and Porsche Caymans in Porsche Endurance Challenge North America, with his primary tenure coming across eleven years with Extreme Speed Motorsports and Tequila Patron ESM.[1]

Van Overbeek's record spans seven indexed seasons from 2014 to 2025. He accumulated four wins and seven podiums across 57 starts, the bulk of his early career built in IMSA WeatherTech from 2014 to 2018, where he took three wins and four podiums over thirty races with Tequila Patron ESM. A return to racing in 2023 brought a win and three podiums across ten starts in Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America with Flying Lizard Motorsports, and he has since taken a single start in Porsche Endurance Challenge North America in 2025.[2]

A professional field in the shared-car format brought Van Overbeek into regular competition with established drivers. He was closely matched throughout his career with Ryan Dalziel and Scott Sharp, both FIA Platinum professionals; both have raced Formula 1 or IndyCar and accumulated over 100 starts in IMSA WeatherTech alone. Van Overbeek finished ahead of Scott Dixon, the four-time IndyCar champion, twice, and once beat Sébastien Buemi, champion of five WEC titles across LMP1 and Hypercar. His career was structured around teams running multiple drivers; Extreme Speed Motorsports, which fielded him for twenty-four of his starts, has won races and carried established professionals such as Antonio Giovinazzi alongside semi-professional and amateur co-drivers.
