Rubén Pardo is an entry-level professional stock car racer from Mexico who competed in NASCAR's national series. Across nine starts between 2007 and 2015, he raced primarily in the NASCAR Xfinity Series for MBM Motorsports, with a pair of NASCAR Truck Series outings in 2015. His competition was restricted to oval circuits.[1]
Pardo's indexed record spans three seasons of NASCAR racing at the national level. He made seven starts in NASCAR Xfinity across his career, finishing 37th in the championship standings in his final appearance in 2015, and added two starts in the NASCAR Truck Series that same year with MAKE Motorsports. Most of his Xfinity entries came through Fitz Motorsports, a small operation that fielded him across six of those seven races.[2]
The company he kept was established; Pardo regularly faced established professionals including Brad Keselowski and Carl Edwards, both champions of the series, finishing behind them consistently. He did cross the line ahead of Keselowski once and ahead of William Byron, the 2017 Xfinity champion, on one occasion each. His record places him squarely at the level of a developing competitor within a field that mixed semi-professional and professional drivers.
