Carl Edwards is an elite professional who raced in NASCAR Xfinity, a national single-class championship mixing amateur through graded professional drivers on the same grid. He spent his entire indexed career with Roush Fenway Racing across 245 starts from 2002 to 2012, driving primarily on oval tracks. He took two championships in the series, in 2007 and 2011.[1]

Edwards won 38 races and finished on the podium 92 times. He was a regular front-runner against established and professional opposition; he typically finished ahead of Jason Leffler and Kenny Wallace, both long-time Xfinity regulars, and he beat elite professionals Denny Hamlin and Joey Logano multiple times in head-to-head racing across their overlapping seasons. His final indexed start came in 2012, when he took a win in the single round he contested that year.[2]
