Richard Neary is an entry-level professional competing in national multiclass endurance racing, primarily in the British GT Championship driving a GT3 car for Team Abba Racing. Graded FIA Bronze, he races alongside established professionals in fields that span from amateurs to graded professionals in the same race. His eight seasons on record, from 2018 to 2025, have yielded a single win and six podium finishes from 43 starts.[1]

In the British GT Championship, where he has made 42 starts since 2019, Neary has taken one win and five podiums; he finished 16th in the 2025 championship standings after six rounds raced. His sole other indexed outing came in the 24H Series in 2018, where he took a podium finish in the SP3 class. The breadth of his record shows consistency in the same team and series rather than progression through a ladder; he has remained with Team Abba Racing throughout his indexed career and has not moved between championships.[2]

Neary regularly races against Sandy Mitchell, a Platinum-graded 2020 British GT champion, and Ian Loggie, a two-time British GT champion in 2021 and 2022, finishing behind both drivers as a rule. His most notable finishes have come against stronger opposition; he has beaten Dries Vanthoor, a Platinum-graded established professional with 79 GT World Challenge Europe starts and 25 World Endurance Championship starts, once, and Raffaele Marciello, also Platinum-graded with multiple European and international titles, three times across their meetings.
