🇮🇹 Francesco Pizzi

Francesco Pizzi is a professional driver who raced single-seaters and endurance machinery across Europe and North America from 2020 to 2023. He is FIA Silver graded, sitting below the full-professional Gold and Platinum tiers in endurance racing. Pizzi's primary team was Van Amersfoort Racing, with whom he contested Italian F4, ADAC Formula 4 and Formula Regional European; he also drove for Charouz Racing System in Formula 3, Abel Motorsports in Indy NXT, and Proton Competition in IMSA WeatherTech.[1]

His record spans four seasons and 75 starts. In Italian F4 in 2020, Pizzi took three wins and seven podiums across 18 races. He competed in single-seater ladder series thereafter: ADAC Formula 4, Formula Regional European with 20 starts in 2021, and Formula 3 the following year. In 2023 he moved to North American racing, making three starts in Indy NXT and seven in USF Pro 2000, where he finished seventh in the championship standings. His only endurance entry came at Daytona in the IMSA WeatherTech Championship, where he shared an LMP2 prototype with co-drivers and took one win and a podium.[2]

Pizzi regularly raced against established professionals including Gabriele Mini, a 2020 Italian F4 champion with extensive Formula 2 and Formula 3 experience, and Dino Beganovic, who won the 2022 Formula Regional European championship. Against Mini he usually finished behind; against Beganovic he was closely matched. He finished ahead of Isack Hadjar, an elite professional and FIA Platinum graded driver who has raced in Formula 1, on three occasions, and beat Gabriel Bortoleto, a Platinum-graded 2023 Formula 3 and 2024 Formula 2 champion, eighteen times across their shared races in the lower formulas.
