Philipp Wlazik was a professional endurance racing driver who raced for KCMG in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie for a decade starting in 2010. He holds an FIA Bronze grade, the amateur classification in endurance racing. His racing centred on the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, a German multiclass championship in which amateurs and professionals share the track; he also made occasional starts in the 24H Series, GT World Challenge Europe and the Nürburgring 24 Hours, all multiclass endurance grids mixing drivers across amateur and professional grades.[1]
Across 37 starts between 2010 and 2019, Wlazik took three wins and eight podiums, all but one of them in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie. His wins came in the Cup 2 class, which ran Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars, and the SP 9 class, which ran GT3 machinery. He typically finished behind Klaus Abbelen and Sabine Schmitz, both entry-level professionals and regular fixtures in the same series. He finished ahead of Laurens Vanthoor, an established professional and Platinum-graded driver with multiple international GT championships, once, and ahead of Maro Engel, also an established professional with Platinum grading and a recent GT World Challenge Europe title, once.[2]
