Olivier Tielemans was a professional racing driver from the Netherlands who competed in single-seater and touring car championships between 2004 and 2008. He raced in International Formula 3000 for Team Astromega in 2004 before moving to the World Touring Car Championship, where he spent two seasons with Wiechers-Sport and N.technology from 2007 to 2008.[1]
His career comprised 35 starts across both series. In Formula 3000 he made five appearances in a single season. His primary focus was the World Touring Car Championship, where he contested 30 races and finished 19th in the 2008 championship standings in what proved to be his final season of racing. He took victory in the Independent races during the 2008 WTCC season.[2]
Tielemans raced regularly against established professionals including Alain Menu and Felix Porteiro, both of whom had significantly longer and more accomplished careers in touring cars and single-seaters. He finished ahead of Menu once and Rickard Rydell once across their meetings. N.technology, his most frequent team home with 19 of his starts, was an operation with moderate strength on the grid, having fielded nine drivers and recorded 15 wins across the index with professional-level machinery.
