Jordi Gené is a professional racing driver from Spain who spent the bulk of his career in the World Touring Car Championship between 2005 and 2010, driving for SR-Sport. He also raced in International Formula 3000 in the early 1990s and returned to circuit racing in 2016 with starts in endurance championships and the FIA World Touring Car Cup.[1]

Gené took eight wins across 166 career starts. His most productive period came in the World Touring Car Championship, where he claimed four wins and fifteen podiums over 128 starts with SR-Sport. Earlier, he won once in nineteen starts in International Formula 3000 for Nordic Racing and scored three podiums in three starts at Formula 3 Macau in 1991 for West Surrey Racing. Late in his career he won in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie and the multiclass 24H Series, competing in endurance racing for the first time. His final indexed season was 2021 in the FIA World Touring Car Cup with Zengo Motorsport Drivers' Academy, where he finished nineteenth in the championship across fourteen rounds.[2]

Gené's record in the World Touring Car Championship placed him among professional touring car drivers of his era. He was closely matched with Robert Huff, a 2012 World Touring Car Championship winner, though usually finished behind Gabriele Tarquini, a two-time touring car champion and former Formula 1 driver. Earlier in his career he finished ahead of Christian Fittipaldi, an established professional and Platinum-graded driver who went on to win the 1991 International Formula 3000 and claim titles in endurance racing, and beat Allan McNish, who also raced in Formula 1 and the World Endurance Championship.
