Wim Daems was a professional driver competing in shared-car endurance racing. His only indexed season came in 2001, when he drove for GLPK Racing in the FIA GT Championship, a single-class series that mixed amateur, semi-professional and professional competitors in multiclass grids. Daems made nine starts across the season.[1]
He finished 28th in the championship standings. His regular opponents were fellow professionals Mike Hezemans and Christian Pescatori, both of whom he matched closely through the year. Daems also recorded single victories over established professionals Johnny Cecotto, who had raced in Formula 1, and Kurt Mollekens, an International Formula 3000 driver.[2]
