Josef Strobe was a competitive amateur racing in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, a multiclass endurance championship run in Germany where amateur and professional drivers share cars and compete in the same races. He drove a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car in the Cup 2 class for Manthey Racing.[1]
Strobe made a single indexed start in 2014, the only season of his record on file, and finished on the podium. He ended that championship year fourteenth in the points. Among the drivers he outpaced were two professionals graded FIA Bronze by the governing body, Philipp Neuffer and Klaus Landgraf, each of whom had logged dozens of starts in the series.[2]
