🏳️ James Counterman

James Counterman is a competitive amateur racing in multiclass endurance and club racing series. He competes in American Endurance Racing, where he pilots Class 2, Class 3 and Class 4 production-based cars as part of a shared driver lineup in a field mixing amateurs and professionals across five classes, and in PCA Club Racing, where he races a Porsche in the SPB class in solo competition. He has been active across both series since 2015.[1]

Counterman took the American Endurance Racing championship twice, in 2016 and 2020, from 102 starts in the series that have yielded 19 wins and 53 podiums. In PCA Club Racing he has started 58 times, won 31 races and taken 43 podiums. His most recent season was 2023 in PCA Club Racing, where he scored 3 wins and 7 podiums across 9 rounds and finished ninth in the championship standings.[2]

In his regular competition Counterman typically finishes ahead of club and developing-level drivers; he has also beaten Mike Skeen, a professional and two-time champion in Trans-Am TA2 competition, twice in American Endurance Racing. His record spans both endurance and sprint racing at amateur and semi-professional level across the United States.
