J. Thomas Mark was a semi-professional endurance racing driver who competed in multiclass sportscar racing at Germany's Nürburgring. He raced for Mühlner Motorsport SPRL in a Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport in the national Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie and in a modified production-based car in the Nürburgring 24 Hours, both series mixing amateur and professional drivers in shared-car competition.[1]
Mark raced ten rounds of the Langstrecken-Serie in 2016 before stepping up to the Nürburgring 24 Hours in 2019, where he took a win and podium finish in his only start in that race. Across eleven career starts, he scored one podium.[2]
His record came in fields including professional drivers with international experience. He ran closely with Hamza Owega, the 2017 Langstrecken-Serie Cup 3 champion, and finished ahead of Johannes Stengel and Marc Basseng, both FIA Silver professionals with substantially deeper race records; Basseng had won the Langstrecken-Serie SP 9 championship and raced in the World Touring Car Championship.
